Urulan
PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS
The Steel Rain
A group of Unlife who originally is from Folenn (Blade
Lands). The group is lead by three prominent women, who has come to Urulan
to find a refugee, a place there the Loremaster's won't look for them and
they also found many alloys in abandoned elven mines that are useful for
their experiments. (see the Grand Campaign for further details).
Kesien Ermenel a beautiful Iylari woman is one of
the three.
The Mines. The works of the Steel Rain might first be heard,
as the machines engaged in strip-mining are extremely loud. They also are
belching noxious smoke which could be seen for miles, though on most days
these fumes mingle with the ever-present mists.
The outer mines are huge craters, roughly circular, where
machines spiral down into the earth, gashing at the rock and tearing up
the desired ores. The inner mines are no less extensive, but lie
underground. The entrance is a bunker-like structure on a nearby hillside.
The biomechanical Iron Warriors are controlled by a
telepathic computer brain, under the direction of the three Priestesses of
the Steel Rain. As a result, they do not respond as individuals, and lack
the ability to react to unexpected input. When the group first encounters
any Iron Warriors, they might just be ignored, Only when they begin to
interfere with operations will they get into trouble.
Del'alrin, Erlini, Major over Nilos, he is a man with very high goals, he wants in his lifetime to see Urulan unified once again, and at peace, no more demons, no more pirates but he is also intelligent enough not to oppose those who has the power to destroy him, he is also a friend of the windmage and has aided him earlier and will do it again, he believes in the mage and consider him one of the greatest hopes in restoring Urulan to it's former might.
Narleen, the witch of Derima, she is a Dyar
woman, about 130 years old and a very skilled summoner, the last thirty
years she has lived in the forest and has taken control of the demons
there. Her primary object is to restore Derima to its might of the old
days, she likes the control she have over the demons and has plans to
unite the whole Demon forest and build an empire with her as Empress with
total control, she knows this will take some time but that doesn't bother
her at all.
Over the years she has begun to feel a certain loneliness,
missing her own kin and someone to share her life. This is none of her
primary objects but she will take the opportunity if it comes.
Hâr-thecc, the Pale V demon of Derima, lives in the cellar of the temple. he enjoys his haven, he has help against his own enemies and he has power almost as home. The basement is his domain, he is building a gigantic machine but the work is going slow with only the idiotic pale one to help him, he is looking forward to having some human slaves to help him with his work.
Sin-Tâladin, Linaeri, Lvl 25 Magician, a very skilled elementalist who lives in the Citadel of the wind, he is a peaceful man who rather studies than acts, less knowing people would call him a coward. He has lived for a long time in a very dangerous place and learned that he wont live for long if he tries to interfere in everything, so he has put aside all emotions and concentrated on his work. He is building an enormous spell that will close the gates that are in the forest and feed in enough "good" Essence into the forest so it will be able to heal itself, he knows that the spell will probably kill him so he want to be absolutely sure that it will work before he uses it.
The demon of the lighthouse is a Type IV Demon of the Void, who has been transported here through one of the gates in the forest and he is unable to get back, he has been on this plane for a couple of decades and got used to it, for 16 years ago he found the old lighthouse, slew the elf that was living there and moved in. He has during the years learned to both speak and read elven and Melurian, he has taught himself from books and a couple of rare occasions he's got a prisoner to learn him. He's great thrill in life is when he gets a visitor, he will then try to play with them for as long as possible, but usually they die after a day or two. He will use spells of Illusion and cloaking to hide himself from his victims, not reveling himself until the end.
