Kafers

Introduction

Here is some notes about the enemy that is still on Aurore:

The Kafers came to Aurore in early 2300, making the new century a dark one on the sturdy people living there. It was the first encounter with a alien species, what explorers found earlier was only remains of civilizations long gone, but this was a living, breathing, and totally xenophobic race.

They came from the red star Arcturus, a star that had before being the point where human space ended, no planetary bodies were close enough from Arcturus for stutter warp jumps. In 2998 the French explorer ship "Chercheur de la vie" (En: "Life Seeker") but they failed to return from beyond Arcturus.

Kafers on Aurore

The Kafers officially lost the war of Aurore, the french and independent colony have now only small fractions of Kafers left on their soil, these factions still fight on their war, but it's more like a guerilla war now, both nations military forces are dedicated now on hunting down surviving bands of Kafers, and the combined research teams are dedicated to finding someway to stop the Kafer Rot

On the other side of the colony, Novoa Kiev, the war is not over yet, communications with Novoa Kiev has been down since the start of the war. Before the defeat of the Kafers in orbit they local Kafer forces in Novoa Kiev had control of the major part of the continent. When their ships in orbit got destroyed the kafer was left on Aurore, and they continue their war, for them co-operation seem to not be an option, not even negotigation.
