Sir Coromant d'Orpheu
Written by Jens Johansson
Sir Coromant d'Orpheu is a Zori nobleman who dwarfs lesser men in height, appearance and deeds. Many are the beautiful maidens who has been left weeping at his leaving after they warmed his bed at night. He is a man of high moral values who fights for personal freedom, to protect those of need against tyranny, evil and oppression.
He is one of the most able swordsmen in the known World, destined to become the best and most legendary of them all. He has defeated countless enemies, to name but a few, a Xyr Daemon, a Daemon almost beyond the pale, a Herald of the Night, the High Priest of Athimurl, two Manticores and countless errand-boys of Arnak. He is the slayer of the bane of Morniol, the God of spiders. He has also single-handedly sent the Dansart leader Osaran fleeing towards the hills, Osaran's chain-pants wet from desperate fright for his life. He has also master-minded the defense of the Gryphon Collage, a glorious battle where few fought against many while the Gods themselves watched. Despite all these breathtaking accomplishments our Hero never brags or tries to put himself or his acts into better light!
He sports a Keron chain hauberk and a full helm and greaves made of a magical alloy which contains Ithloss, a magnificent longsword made by the elven master-smith San-Thalos which has the ability to strike down enemies with lightning. His shield was once worn by the shield-bearer to another Hero, the once legendary paladin Innlothu Pahal.
As for his followers they are better not mentioned. They are a riff-raff horde, plagued by low moral and all the human faults you could imagine. They are unable to set aside their own personal gain from more noble goals. Among them are sanctimonious people, mutants, common thieves, prostitutes, those false-hearted and tempted by darkness, the cowardly and greedy beyond belief and the false virtuous who worships for personal reasons alone.
You must ask yourself Dear reader, how can our Hero stand these wretched creatures and sleep safely in their midst at night? The answer of course is obvious, someone has to lead them!
