Some description of places for adventure and cities in Tanara.

Yinka Lands

The highlands close to the mountains, there the warlike Yinka is living in large crowded cities, many mines support the lands and raiding or trading with their neighbors supply other things they need.

In the lower parts of their realm big herds of cattle and sheep is grazing.

CITIES

Far

Village, 500 inh., destroyed by Cloudlords in spring, year 380. The attack was witnessed by the adventurer Heplon.

Kayan

Yinka town, 1.500 inh., destroyed by Cloudlords in spring, year 380. The attack was witnessed by the adventurer Heplon.

Cinvat

Yinka City 4.500 inh., base of operations for the characters, ruled by the High Priest Papak. In the summer of the year 380 the city was attacked by a large organized force of Myri, lead by Cloudlords, this is the first major attack on a Yinka city since the destruction of Far and Kayan and the first one involving a large Myri army. The city is saved only be a highly organized defense and some mechanical weapon bartered from the Goblins.

Ashren

Yinka City, 10.000 inhabitants. Was almost destroyed in the civil war but is now rebuilt.

Kachtere

Yinka Capitol, 16.000 inhabitants, the location of the main temple for Yugal and also the Priest-King.

Zahvul

Yinka City, 7.500 inhabitants, located in the southern parts of the land. Third largest city in Yinka land.

Media

Yinka City, 6.000 inhabitants, located in southern parts of the land. Home city of General Tadjeb. The city is often used as a base of operations for attacks towards the Rhakhaaneese empire.

Rahmet

Yinka town, 1.500 inh. Located in the SE parts of the country, close to Gray Mountains and Sulini lands.

Pars

Yinka City, 2.000 inh. Located in southern Yinka lands

Gular

Yinka Town, 1.600 inh. Located in Southern Yinka lands.

Vanaar

Yinka Town, 1700 inh. Located close to Media in southern Yinka land.

Kayania

Yinka City, 3.000 inh. Located south of the capital, surrounded by mountains and forests.

Shapur

Yinka City, 2.200 inh. Located close to Achren, north in the lands.

Guzaran

Yinka Town, 1.800 inh. Located in the northern parts of the land, close to Cinvat.

 

OTHER PLACES

Astora Plains

A plain NE of Achren that was the location of a major battle in the first civil war, over 10.000 men died during a couple of days and the nature all around there is still today scorched and the Essćnce is still somewhat uncontrolled there.

The plains are feared and rumored to be haunted.

 

Myr

This is the lands of the Myri, mostly highland and moors and not having anything valuable for invading people.

Evod moors

A large moorland only inhabited by a few Myri herders, this is the place of the destruction of an entire Yinka army in the summer, year 380. After the battle and the death of more then a thousand soldiers it is a place being shunned.

Alimaine

Ancient ruin in Tanara that is considered holy by the Myri.

Sulini

Telava

One of the larger cities of the Sulini country, it is relatively close to the Yinka border and therefore it is fortified, in the Autumn, year 380 a Yinka army attacks the city but is destroyed by the defending forces.

Gray Mountains

The large mountain range dividing Tanara from the rest of Jaiman, the range of mountains goes all the way from the south coast until the northernmost parts of Jaiman.

The Labyrinth Cities

Deep inside the Gray Mountains lays the Labyrinth cities, created in the end of the second era around the time of wars of dominion, only ruins remain today, but still many of the once great halls are unharmed by the tooth of time.

The Labyrinth cities were built by the early Tanarans trying to hide from the forces of evil ravaging the continent, they went into hiding there for almost three hundred years and when they came out again the world has changed and so had they, pale thin figures they realized they could not adept good to the sun at the surface, finding deep forests in the north they took their hiding there.

Ash Lairs

Under the Gray Mountains, part of a much greater system, under the Vale of Mersia the adventurers found a colony of Goblins in war with a Lugrôki tribe, no one knows exactly how large the cave system is.

Vale of Mersia

A great highland vale deep inside the Gray Mountains, site for ancient ruins and now a city is slowly growing there, being built by the Myri servants of the Cloudlords. The vale is effectively protected from outer enemies by the high and treacherous mountain sides and only way for a larger force to enter it is through a narrow pass.
