A campaign in southern Rhakhaan
Introduction
The Fiery wings campaign is centered in the Esov Mur region of Rhakhaan and is about a small noble family in times of Turmoil.
Soon ready-to-run adventures will be published here along with a lot of campaign material such as NPC's, maps, artifacts etc.
Lands
Hælibron
The Marquessate closest to the pass to Tanara, also a Marquessate with very strong military power, usually had a legion on constant alert for an invading army.
The country is ruled by Lord Ion Lydania, Marquess of Hælibron, Viscount Swink, Baron Ryzendia
The east of the land is ruled by the two major fortresses protecting the land from the barbaric Yinka tribes across the mountains. The fortresses, Arx Arctosud [Ez. North Spike Fortress] and Arx Metosud [Ez. South Spike Fortress].
Quendara
The most economically powerful Duchy, ruled from the city of Lethys by the elven trade prince Westley Malvion Taniador. His Royal Highness the Prince of Lethys, Duke of Lethana. Much jealousy about this Duchy from the capital has made that relations is not the best, but with the current rule the city of Lethys bring a substantial amount of the Imperial Wealth, so it is tolerated.
Hneydar
Hnydar is a Marquessate that covers most of the south of the Rhakhaanese peninsula, it's capitol is the city of Hneydar that is a great trade metropolis as it lays near the cost and one of the most common places to travel to Ormian and Nomikos. The south-eastern parts of Hneydar is mostly highland, covered with mountains and hills, lands rich in both ores and dangers. The land stretches to the mighty fort of Arx Temero [Ez. The dark fort], now in control by lord Machaera.
Alacta
Alacta is a county in north eastern Hnydar, it is ruled by Countess Isador domo Antia Alactina. The major city in Alacta is Antia a small but rich trade city. In the fall of 6.050 the city of Antia is sacked by a large Yinka force. The countess follows the Yinka army and destroys it deep within Meluria.
Esov Mur
Esov Mur is the southern most of the Rhakhaanese duchies, it is a costal land that is very fertile from all the rivers flowing down from the gray mountains.
The city of Duraan is the capitol of Esov Mur, where Duke Dorsen Bourne resides.
Esov Mur do not have so impressive army being a relatively small Duchy, but instead it's fleet is responsible to guard most of the Rhakhaan southern coastline and the navy is very large. Most of the army of Esov Mur is directly linked to the Church and not part of the Imperial Legions and it is considered an honor among knights to serve the church so the army has a large part cavalry.
Esov Mur also has a relatively large Sulini population, but they live among the normal people there and their blood is getting mixed and in a few more generations there will be no way to tell them from the rest of the population.
Ostland (Sir-Laar)
The highlands of the east, it is in reality a part of Esov Mur, but since a rebellion against the local baron there it is more or less self governed, Esov Mur is still trying to tax the land, but it is going worse and worse with increasing activity of brigands in the area.
This land was once a big Duchy called Sir-Laar, but long time ago it got depopulated and broken up in smaller independent baronies, mostly controlled by the church of Esov Turic.
The leader over this area is Baron Machaera [Ez. The Blade] who also controls the fort Arx Temero [Ez. The dark fort], it is a huge fort housing over two cohort garrison at peacetime with room for a full Imperial Legion.
Machaera is only a baron but by wars with his neighbors he has got in power over most of the former land of Sir-Laar, and now also poses a threat to Esov Mur. The northeastern parts of Machaera's realm borders to Tanara and the Sulini lands and there is only a small strip of mountains and hills between, this region is very sparsely populated.
Rumors say about Machaera that he is involved in all the brigand activity in the area and some say they even work for him.
