Nomikos, Isle of Ormian.

During a night of 2nd Varin unknown forces attacked the Library of Nomikos.
Buildings close to the main library were assaulted and parts of the central buildings were burnt down. The attackers seem to be some kind of previously unseen dæmons that the wards around Nomikos were so far unprepared of. The main force was composed of black humanoid creatures, standing above 9 feet tall with dagger like fangs and four sets of viscous claws, riding on equally large dæmonic bats. They moved with lightning speed and proved more then a match to even the Changramai guards at the library. The daemons ferocity was enough to keep the monks occupied long enough for the attackers to destroy apartments of some of the more prominent visitor’s before they could be driven off.
Losses at the library and the city below number into the 80s of Civilians and Scribes, and a handful of the Changramai guards

The reason for the attack is up to date unknown.
