It was a moonless night in the fist Varin of the summer when a force of Y’kin landed on the shores of Esov Mur, over three hundred in numbers. They then moved across Esov Mur and disappearing in the Ostland (‘Sir-Laar’), spreading devastation and fear on their way.
A fisherman outside Caldara saw the whole event:

'It was a cloudy night and almost pitch black, I was up repairing the nets when I heard ships closing out at sea, at fist I feared it might be pirates, or maybe smugglers, but then I heard that talked in a strange tongue I understood it was something else.
I walked down the shores to a stony beach; there I could see in a glimpse of starlight how dark-skinned warriors were going shore in the hundreds. As they were posting guards I ran back and reported it to the local police.'

The Y’kin force headed east into Esov Mur after that, destroying the first force sent at them by the church of Caldara and later the force led by Ser Laras Akin at the Ostland border.
