Surrounding Areas
A short description of the mansions lands
Esiv
About a mile south of the mansion is the small village Esiv, it has about 100 inhabitants. The village has a guesthouse for occasional guests. Also in the village is a blacksmith, Vilius, who provide the manor with most smith work except more advanced things like weapons and armor.
The village has no standing militia; its protection is handled by Trebain. Cladius Harken has the position of Guard Chief (as well as guest house owner), this essentially means he organizes the meeting of the militia (about a dozen men) every year and he handles small guard duties that do not require anyone from the Manor.
The Coal Mine
An hour’s walk from Esiv is a small coal mine where half a dozen people from Esiv work. This mine is a source of income for the Trebain family and the village Esiv.
The Woodcutter’s camp
This camp is located a couple of hours north of the mansion, about a dozen people works here, from Esiv and local farms. A permanent cottage is here for people to sleep in during the work weeks since the work at the camp starts really early.
Farms
Throughout the lands there are scattered farms and herders that belong to the Trebain lands. It is frontier lands and there are a lot of dangers for these isolated places.
