Sewers
The sewers are as the name implies the city sewer system, for such an old city it still works really well, wish is necessary to keep a city of this size clean well, cleaner at least. Some of the underworld use the sewers as a hiding place and an escape rout, the thieves guild has the place mapped up pretty good and most members know where to go in the dark sewers to come up at a certain place in the city, something that is very useful to evade city guards and other enemies. The city guards know how the sewers are being used, but have no choice to do something about it, they can't very well shut down the sewers since they are needed for the city to work as it should, once in a while they make a raid there but usually find little more then rats.
Rats of all sizes inhabit the sewers, all sorts of goodies are thrown down to them there so they are plenty of large, sometimes at floods or extremely dry weather they can come up to the city, fortunately it was years ago any such invasion came to the city, but it is very dangerous when it does since the rats are scared and starved then and don't even hesitate to attack humans, they very often can bring deadly diseases too.
Catacombs
This is the oldest part of the city still left, as old as the royal tombs, but the catacombs are since long abandoned, stretching through out the city they are very large, and in many places they have been built on top of each others so it is a maze that is really hard to find it's way in with many dangers, natural and unnatural. The original function of the catacombs was the same as the sewers above it serve today, to keep the city clean, but since then parts of them has been used as city streets, burial tombs and a myriad of other things until today when they are almost forgotten but for a few.
The Catacombs can be reached from the sewers in some places and rumor also says that there are connections to them to the enormous system of caves in the Gray Mountains, the system called the Ash Lairs.
One part of the catacombs are currently used by the thieves guild, this is a very small part of the catacombs but it is the most well known since people actually are there every day, it is not known to many outside the thieves guild, not even the city guard know exactly how to get there. This is a pretty small part of the catacombs, but it is enough for the guild, and since people that travel alone out in the depths of the catacombs have a tendency not to return they think it is wise not trying to expand further.
Another part of the catacombs are currently used by the vampires that are living in the city, here they have their resting place for the days, many of the traditionals never venture far from this place, try and avoid human contact unless feeding.
The Royal Tombs
Here the kings of Haalkitaine has been buried since the second era, it is a enormous vault with legacies over thousands of years.
For a tomb robber this would be the ultimate place for a break-in, maybe second only to tombs of Ūr, and in no way is it any less dangerous. Since this place is still used as the burial chambers of the imperial line of Rhakhaan it is also very well protected, and located only hours from the capital it is very close for reinforcements to reach there, the guarding of the tombs are also a very high profile work, and considered quite an honor it is nearly impossible to bribe the guards there.
Inside the tombs the dangers are no less, many kings and emperors wanted to make sure that they would rest there in peace and made sure intricate and deadly traps was put there to guard them and the place is also filled with magical wards.
Markellos Store
Behind Lovien's Antiques are a different kind of store, this is where markellos receives his customers that has something to sell, the place is known by the Thieves Guild but not by many others at all, and the old man Lovien is very loyal as long as he gets paid for the small storage room and he does not mind at all even though he often has to get up in the middle of the night to receive Markellos Customers. Markellos himself has a back entrance to his small shop but most customers just go through the Antiques store.
The Dock Gal
This is one of the favorite hangouts of Ron the Knee, a very rough tavern in the cargo docks that is frequently visited by ruffians, prostitutes and other lowlifes. For frequent customers they even have a few beds to rent. If you need to find little rougher criminals this is the place to look.
