Echoes of whispers unhallowed halls of stone escorts to the unwary Now the spirits walk alone. Six hearts turned black by ugly words the land is broken by foolish lords. Thoughts unspoken a mild deception so it began: the way of good intention.

HISTORY

Once it was one of the six realms that controlled Jaiman, a place of cultural and technological advancement at a similar level as the Loari Isles in the south. During the conflict with Rhakhaan the empire began to decline, never to rise again.

GEOGRAPHY

Except for small elven villages, this land is nearly deserted. Interestingly, the rare adventurer to visit has a strange feeling of uneasiness -leading some Loremaster's to believe that the Unicorn Crown exists and is being used in a secret enclave by a heir to the king. While this is extremely unlikely, it would explain the odd sense of foreboding which strike those who venture here. When the powers of the known Crowns failed on the 23rd of Fall in 6051, this should have also dispersed the menacing power of the land. However, if anything the sense of foreboding has increased. Those gifted with the Essænce have said that it ebbs and swells, and seems ber in some areas than others, there it is obvious now that the feeling of being observed by a malevolent presence remains.
The once lush green forests are now dark and gloomy, the elves that still lives on Urulan know the dangers with them and have stopped to garden them. Since Urulan was largely depopulated after the wars there was none who could drive back the hordes of demons that was still there. They could be the reason for the strange sensation travelers feel and be part of the reason for the gloominess of the forests. Large areas of southern Urulan has been de-forested to make safe havens for the city's and to make it easier to spot demons daring their way out of the forest
Urulan is also home of many exotic plants and animals, many that cant be found anywhere else on Jaiman and it is still a place with many fairy's in the forests, many of those immortals has now turned evil and preys upon those who enters. They still has respect for the Erlini elves and avoid them.

SYMBOL

The symbol of Urulan was a green tree on a white background.
Other symbols on the Isle are the White swan on black background, the symbol of Jerel.

CAPITAL

There are no established capital of Urulan anymore, the former capital was almost completely destroyed in the wars. The best city in a military point is Mareena, who also is the only sea-power.

OTHER CITY'S

Nilos, one of the largest cities on Urulan and a trading place for almost everyone still living on the Isle, the city is surrounded by a high wooden palisade and it's gates close at dusk. It is a city built by forest elves and it shows on the magnificence of the wooden structures, some of them six stories high and all of them beautiful, there is many artisan shops and not a single tavern or bar are without a Bard or mistral.
The town is governed by Del'alrin a Erlini elf who is very liked by his people, he pays high taxes to Jerel for the city to be left alone, this is not of cowardice but he's a realist and knows his city has nothing to put up against the white swan.

Veena, this stone city lies on the edge of the great mountains that divide the Isle, the people who built it found several old mines that still today is the city's primary income. The town itself don't even look elven more like a human built town, it's position in the mountain makes it very hard to conquer by demons or a hostile army.

Mareena, city of the White swan, a beautiful stone city and a remain from the old era probably built by Loari craftsmen, elegant white marble towers and spires reaches hundreds of feet up. It's defense is magnificent and it's placed high on a cliff, almost impossible to conquer. It is also a city of great contrasts, on the city streets one can see it all, both humans and elves lives in the city, in places there once wore fine restaurants now are brothels and the white marble marketplaces where the artisans met are now slave markets, all ruled by the Dyari.

PLACES

Dæmon Woods, a dark and eerie place filled with dangers and mysteries, that is not traveled by others than those foolish enough. In these dark woods are still portals open to the lower pales, and there is a constant renewal of the demons who gave the forest it's name.
Besides from the demons the forest itself has changed by the constant exposure of the warped Essænce from the Unlife and without the healing powers of the Erlini the tree's and plants themselves are growing evil.
The demons consist mostly of the lower Pales and other less powerful demons of the void, one frightening exception is the Rippers, although less in number they are terrible slaughterers standing 8 feet tall, muscles upon muscles, wielding 8" razor claws and 4" fangs, an overaggressive animal intelligence and they only takes damage from magical weapons and is even then hard to kill, their only weakness is that there blind, seeing only heat patterns at a maximum of fifty feet.
