Materials
Iron
x1 cost
Probably the most common material when it comes to weapons still even if steel is way on the way to replace it. it can be made sharp but looses it's sharpness fast and it is not suitable for thin weapons as they bend.
Rapiers, stiletto, long sword, all armor piercing weapons are not good for being made by iron.
Low Steel
[+5 OB], {None}, x1,5 Cost
This is the most common type of steel, it is fairy brittle and not very flexible and not very good for thin weapons such as rapiers. It is a good step from the usual iron weapons though as it can be made sharper and keeps an edge better.
Arba Steel
[+15 OB*] {+1ocv, +1dc*}, x10 Cost
This Bluish steel is made only in Arba in the Peragi Archipelago, it is a very gloss and bluish steel that can be made razor sharp but is a bit brittle so not so good for very thin weapons such as rapiers.
It is made from a special volcanous ore that has only been found in the Arba mountains, objects made from it can be found through out the World due to the traders of Peragi.
* The bonus is only for edged weapons such as swords and daggers, counts as high steel to all other weapons. the durability is halved due to the brittleness of the steel.
High Steel
[+10 OB], {+1ocv}, x7 Cost
This is the best of normal steel, can be compared to Toledo steel from ancient Europe, not so many smiths can manage to make this type of steel and is therefore very valuable. It is suitable for all weapons and can be made sharp, it is also very flexible.
Black Steel
[+10 OB], {+1ocv}, x10 Cost.
Originally made by the trolls under H'thols power during the large wars and has since then being mastered by many of the master smiths by the dark lord and some of the best Orch smith's. It is commonly used by the forces of H'thol, especially commanders.
The steel is very blued, almost black.
Dark Alloy
[+20 OB], {+2ocv, +1dc}, x50 Cost
A completely black glossy steel that is incredible sharp, flexible and magical by it's nature... only alchemists can have any hope in making something if this material since normal smith's could never melt the metal. exactly how it is made is a knowledge that is lost to most but it is made from several different materials and wrought with magic.
Note: Just because it is named Dark Alloy do not mean it is evil, it can be both good or evil depending on the magic. The only metal that is related to good or evil is Black steel, and that is only from where it is made, nothing to do with the metal in itself.
Magic Steel
[+10 OB], {+1ocv}, x25 Cost.
The magic steel is High Steel that has been prepared to receive magic, as long as no magic is laid into it there is not much difference in the quality except that the metal counts as magical. It is usually more shining then normal steel, almost like silver in the finish.
